Faith Evans Sings to Patti Labelle
Patti Labelle is one of my favourite singers - ever. I was indifferent to Faith Evans until I heard her sing this song, You Are My Friend, in a tribute to Patti Labelle on BET's Walk of Fame in 2001. I was literally in tears at how good she was. Patti Labelle was also rolling about in her seat (I remember that this was one of the two performances that she seemed to get excited over). This takes me back.
yes, i can of like Faith too and Patti, most of my colleques dont even understand how i can still relate to some of her songs but i think she is a legend.Ok, so i like it here, lots of info,so i will surely be back.tnx & keep it up.
@blazing: tell me about it. Patti may seem like real old school to some (like pre-historic), but I love her voice and her songs. I watched a documentary on her life a few years ago and learned that she lost all her 3 sisters to cancer. It was so sad and yet she comes across as a caring, empathetic and vivacious woman. Love her!
