For Naturals: Champagne, Cupcakes and Curltalk

For the naturals living in Lagos, the Kinky Apothecary is holding the 2nd edition of Champagne, Cupcakes and Curltalk on Saturday, July 31 2010 from 3 to 7PM.

I wasn't at the last event, but apparently it was a great time of sharing tips and advice on how to care for natural hair. This upcoming session promises to be just as good.

Get more details from the Kinky Apothecary blog.

Am still wondering how naturals can be maintained. I tried it once and I always end up crying every time I go to the salon.

Any tips on soften naturals?

Natural hair takes tender loving care and patience. A big thing is that when you comb your hair, you start from the ends and work your way to the roots (which is the opposite direction that people typically comb straight hair). Also, it's best to comb ONLY when wet and with conditioner in it.
