Anon1: No, I'm in Lagos now. You can email me (email address is in the profile).

Anon2: 'Social web' here refers to social networking tools, which are part of the web 2.0 technologies. It basically means a tool where users can collaborate, share information (e.g. photos, videos, music, text), annotate and build upon information shared by each other (e.g. on Flickr).

Blogs, for instance, are considered to be social networking, because they provide a forum where conversations between people take place i.e. a social space.

Thanks a lot, Ore.

By the way, why didn't you ever enter yourself for the Best Use of Technology category of The Future Award?

Anon 2!

You are welcome! I'm not in the know about when nominations for these things happen. And besides, I don't think that I have done much yet to be nominated for an award. Maybe in a few years time....

Hi -

Thanks for pointing out the net2 award competition - I found your blog through a google search. ;-)

I wanted to point out that voting has been extended until this coming Monday, and also make a pitch for a number of African projects. Even if you've voted you can go back and update your ballot to add more projects (up to 10) that you'd like to support.

Also, since you're in Nigeria you might be interested in following - and contributing to - the new blog at http://www.greenlightnigeria.org.

Cheers,

Tobias (from Kabissa)
