I Miss My iPod

How can this be? I didn't even have the thing for that long. I still hadn't finished uploading all my songs onto it (Oh yes, I was a big CD buyer back in the day. These days, I'm hardly moved to buy entire albums of anybodys.)

Did you mail it back to Apple for a free fix/new one? If it's in a year since you bought it they will let you do that. Or you just let it die and are mourning it?

No, I haven't mailed it back yet. But I'm looking into it. I really, really miss it.

Thanks! I miss it especially at the gym. But the upside is that I'm talking to more people now.

So I lost my Ipod today.(sob!)And staunchly refused to do any work today in the office as a result(seeing as its July 4th weekend and my dumbass did not have the foresight to plan a nice vacation).

I digress. I lost my ipod today, and somewhere during my depression I stumbled upon your blog. And I read every single entry you wrote (a lot of time on my hands i know, u gotta love corporate america!) But I have to say: Great job! Thoroughly enjoyed it... Especially the parts about moving back to nigeria, and doing your nysc, and dealing with the culture shock, etc, etc. Whats funny is I went to QC, went to school and live in boston (yes the real boston, not malden lol), and plan to move back at the end of the year..... And losing my ipod (at the damn T station, no less) made me sooo depressed that I started rethinking all my life decisions, etc, etc. I know its just an ipod, but I didnt realize how attached I had gotten, I had it for almost 2yrs!!

So anyways, (as you can prob tell i like to ramble..) I feel you on the whole ipod withdrawal symptoms. So take heart my dear, you are not alone!

P.S. Whatever happened with the nysc? Is it over? Did you have to sleep there? As a self-confessed ajebo (i've finally come to terms with that sad fact), the whole thing seems rather scary, but I am determined to do it. So dish out the secrets!! Did you have a job before you came back? Was it easy to navigate through corporate nigeria (if there's such a thing? I would love to know more. Thanxs!!!

LOL @ hijackin' ..... The real Boston. LMAO!!!!!!!! Whateva, girl! :-)

You went to QC too? Maybe I know you. Anyway, home has been good. I have had a lot of fun during my NYSC year, I have to say. Many ppl manage to work their way out of camp. You know how it is...... CD has been a lot of fun, though of course there are ppl who are 'serving' but not really, if you know what I mean.

It's prob best to speak with your family and friends to find out if they know of any jobs.

And great news, I was able to get an exchange for my iPod. There is a place here in Lagos that deals in and fixes Apple products. You can take your faulty products to them for a diagnosis. If they can't fix it, you can pay a fraction of the cost of the iPod and get a brand new one. If something goes wrong with that, they will give you a new one for free. You don't know how relieved I am.
